We went by bus and train to two of the Cinque Terra villages, Manarola and Riommagiori. Lots of walking up and down these hillside villages with amazing vistas around every corner, of the sea and the buildings and the boats. There was access only by sea and walking trails until 1920 when the first railroad track was built. In the 1960's a road was built above the villages. The trails are closed now because of rock slides. The boats weren't working today because of the high winds, but otherwise the weather was perfect.
