Wow! We had a variety of activities today. First, a visit to Franklin, TN and a tour of the Civil War battlefield with guide and author Eric A. Jacobson. Next we played games at Audrey and Richard's house. Then we went to a live basketball game as the Vanderbilt women's team won over Elon (NC) University in their Thanksgiving tournament. Topping it all off with leftover turkey and more pie and cake. More family fun!

Our 90 minute tour took two and a half hours – nearly as long as the heat of the Battle of Franklin itself. Our guide reminded us that it really began exactly 149 years ago today in nearby Cold Spring, with the Battle of Franklin taking place the next day, November 30, 1864. He made a minor Civil War battle memorable.

It took place on the site of the Carter House in Franklin.

Will it be Dominoes or Tripoley?

We had our choice of seats.

Tim's favorite is feisty Jasmine Jenkins.

What a great weekend!
